Games-Workshop has many different models in their range, so many races and kits. Choosing just five was a lot harder; than I thought it would be. So provisions had to be made to whittle down and make it easier. Such as no characters or squads. So basically vehicles and monsters. I'll do characters at a later date.
1. Wraithlord.
The Eldar dreadnought is a lovely looking
model, it has been my favourite since fifth edition. The many options and versatile, allowing the wraith lord to be everything from anti infantry, anti armour, close combat, to mobile weapons platform. The varied kits allows for many conversions. I have made so many, I no longer need instructions.
2. Death Company Dreadnought.
Without turning this list into a walkerfest. The next is the blood angel death company dreadnought, for many of the same reasons as the wraithlord. The kit is multifaceted, with the option to make a librarian, a furioso, a venerable or of course the Death company dreadnoughts. The twin blood talon and magna grapple, makes it a fun model and looks amazing. The black with crosses is a cool scheme, then with the black rage. Fun, blood lust crazy fun.
3. TY7 Devilfish
The Tau tanks don't get enough credit, everyone talks about the Gundam like robot suits. The devil and Tau tanks in general sleek design, is nice and a interesting contrast to the rest of the 40k universe. The devilfish kit isn't as varied as the previous two, just the look of it and the cheapness of points; it's a dedicated troop transport so it is not restricted.
4. Hive Tyrant
The hive tyrant is huge beast, I love it. Many parts and the ability to make the Swarmlord. It is so gribbly, and monstrous. The fact you can make this hugely disgusting and frightening creature fly. With big guns and sharp talons, the hive tyrant. Is another versatile kit with many bits. It is also a beast on the tabletop.
5. Sentinel
The imperial guard walker, the fast attack choice.
The ability to make two vehicles (kind of). The scout and armoured variants. The look ripped from star wars, but with chainsaws. Everything is improved with chainsaws. Chainsaws and plasma cannons.
